Professional Information
 
Dr. Salama received his Doctor of Medicine
degree from the Ain Shams University-School
of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt, where he also
completed his medical internship and a
Pulmonology residency, and received a
diploma in Chest Diseases. His OB/GYN
Residency was completed at Geisinger Medical
Center, Danville, PA. Dr. Salama served in
various attending physician roles in healthcare
facilities in Cairo, Egypt, including its military
hospitals. Most recently Dr. Salama was a
specialist with Williamsport OB/GYN performing
laparoscopic surgeries, hysterectomies, both
abdominal and vaginal, c-sections, and
operative hysteroscopies, as well as managing
high-risk pregnancies. He is also experienced in
urogynecology, reproductive endocrinology and
infertility, maternal fetal medicine and gynecologic
oncology.

Muir Ob/Gyn has been proud to serve the Hazleton area women since august of 1994, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology.

Dr. Scott Muir, DO FACOOG and Dr. Farag Salama, MD FACOG can and will address all femine reproductive and gynecologic health questions and concerns.

Our physicians have been trained in all aspects of women's care and offer an extensive list of procedures that can be performed in office. Colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, cyrosurgery, and obstetrical-gynecolic ultrasound are just a few examples of office procedures.

In cooperation with Lehigh Valley Prenatal Services we offer: high risk pregnancy management, aminocentesis and chorionic villus sampling, state of the art neonatal unit in Allentown and 24-hour helicopter and ambulance service to Allentown fellowship trained Perinaltolgist Genetic Counseling. Our staff would be happy to discuss a comprehensive list of all services provided by Dr. Muir and Dr. Salama.
